Farewell Evening For Miss Kitty Bennett at Taneatna
Taneata hall was the scene of a very bright dance which was sponsored by the Young People’s Club to farewell Miss Kitty Bennett, who is leaving the district to go to Havelock North. , Mr M. Doran made a very capable M.C. and dance music was played by Mrs Gardner, Mrs Fowell, Miss C. Doran, Messrs. Allen Bell and G. Grey. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss Elaine Cross and Mr Tom Langdon. An excellent supper was served by members of the Young People’s Club, after which Mr Doran on behalf of all those present wished Miss Bennett the best of good fortune and happiness in her new home, and presented her with a week-end bag.
