Awakeri Y.F.C. Debates

A meeting of the Awakeri Y.F.C. last week held two practice debates to determine the best speakers from whom to select a team to represent the club in the forthcoming. district competition. The first debate “Stripping v Nonstripping” was won by C. Haultain’s team advocating stripping. The second debate “That use of organic fertiliser has had an undesirable effect on the farm” was closeb’' contested— B Mundy’s team winning for the negative. .. .
