MATRON’S SERVICES
A motion that the Board’s ap-
preciation of the able and conscientious services given by Matron Runciman to the Board during the five years she has been at the Whakatane Hospital be recorded on the minutes was carried at the Board meeting on Thursday. % Members spoke highly of Miss Runciman’s services during her term of office. / Miss Runciman will be awarded two months retiring leave on full pay.

Parade of Decorated .Floats, Vehicles, Fancy Costumes etc. to be lead by the Bands and to terminate at the Paper Mills Dance at the Winter Show Buildings:) Saturday, January 1: Pipe Band Contest and Caledonian Sports (Ohope Beach Sports Ground 8 to 10 Pipe Bands, 200 to 300 Bandsmen.) , ' ,
