RED CROSS
The monthly meeting of the Red Cross Committee was, held recently, Mrs B. S. Barry presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.
Mrs Sullivan reported that the life membership list was increasing, also that the Headquarters levy for Centres had been fixed at the same amount as last year but that an additional voluntary amount of £5 was asked for.
Arrangements were made for the Shop Day and Appeal to be held on September 26 in aid of Food for Britain and general funds. It is hoped that all members of the community will support the Red Cross in this appeal for such a worthy cause apd all contributions, no matter how small, will be gratefully accepted.
