WOMEN’S DIVISION

I PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE ' ' QUARTERLY MEETING The quarterly meeting of the Bay of Plenty Provincial Executive of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers was held in the County Chambers on Wednesday, August 13. The meeting was opened by the president, Mrs P. Goodwin, a full attendance of delegates being present. Correspondence dealt with was as follows: Letters from the Plunket Society, Mr Johnston re D.D.T. and Whakatane and Rangitaiki A. and P. Society also donations, from the following branches: Murupara £4, Awakeri £2, Te Teko £3 to Provincial funds were acknowledged. The meeting stood in silence in sympathy for the passing of Mrs Yeoman a very valued member. « The Provincial delegate to the conference Mrs S. Cannell, gave a very full and comprehensive report and the interest of the delegates present was shown by the many questions and discussions on remits passed. Mrs N. Carter, delegate from the Awakeri branch, gave her report and Mrs K. Knight, who represented the Provincial Housekeeping at the conference gave her report. All delegates were accorded a hearty vote of thanks from the meeting. ,

A vote of thanks to the County Council for the use of the Council Chambers was 'passed.
