YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUBS
OTAKIRI BRANCH AUGUST MEETING The August meeting of the Otakiri Y'.F.C. was held in the Otakiri Hall recently. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Arrangements were made for a Rugby match against the Thornton Y.F.C. and for a dance to be held in the near future. Minutes of the recent meeting of the District Committee of the Young Farmers’ Clubs were read. A very interesting lantern lecture on herd improvement was given by Mr Gilmour. ' Later in the month an interesting field day was held at Mr Hallett’s orchard, Mr Hume giving a demonstration which was closely followed by all present.
