WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
TANEATUA BRANCH GARDENING CIRCLE MEETS A meeting of the Taneatua Women’s Institute Gardening Circle was held at Mrs Cradwick’s residence recently. Mrs Butler presided.
Owing to the inclement weather the attendance was poor and a number of apologies were received. It was decided that the next meeting should be held at Mrs Doran’s residence.
A reading on cut flowers was given by Mrs Cradwick and % competition was won by Mrs Butler. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Doran and Fitchett. Competitions were won as follows: Best flower: Mrs Olliver 1, Mrs K. Tebbutt 2, ; Mrs Fitchett 3. Best vegetable: Mrs Doran 1, Mrs Cradwick 2, Mrs Butler 3. Decorated egg cup: Mrs Hayward 1, Mrs Butler 2, Mrs Benne#t 3.
