THAT AERODROME PROPOSAL

NOW that the Government has recognised the pressing need for an aerodrome to serve Whakatane town and district, it becomes a matter of intensive agitation on the part of local residents to insist continuously that this item in the official Ten-year-plan advocated by the Minister of Works, be put immediately into effect. Air travel is vital to any progressive community, and if Whakatane lags in this respect it cannot hope to develop along modern lines or to keep pace with other centres which possess an air terminal.
