BASKETBALL DANCES WAIMANA AND NUKUHOU A most delightful dance was held in the Waimana Hall recently, under the auspices of the Waimana Basketball Club. The stage was decorated with greenery and autumn flowers, and Rodey and his boys played the dance music. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr T. Doran. The novelty dances proved popular and were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The playing of the National Anthem at a late hour, closed the function. Nukuhou North Another successful basketball dance was held in the Nukuhou School last Friday night. - The Waimana Orchestra supplied the dance music, and Mr J. Cranswick made a most capable M.C. Mr J. Cain was doorkeeper. A sponge cake, donated by Mrs Ron Macdonald, was won by Mr John Black. The confetti broom dance and Monte Carlo dances were greatly enjoyed. A_ tasty supper was served by basketball members.
