CHURCH PARADE

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER FOUR BODIES REPRESENTED Suggested by the Legion of Frontiersmen a combined church parade was held by that body, the Caledonian Society Pipe Band, The Beys’ Brigade and the Boy Scouts on Sunday last. The occasion was a National Day of prayer called by His Majesty the King. The weather was perfect and the church was packed. The parade, headed by the Pipe Band, left Dr. Cole’s corner and marched to the Presbyterian Church. Scriptures were read by Captain W. J. Simons and Lieutenant C. F. Thomas of the Legion of Frontiersmen. Rev. H. M. Bell was the officiating minister. At the conclusion of the service the parade returned to Dr. Cole’s corner and broke up.
