REHAB. COURSE

HELD AT ROTORUA The special course which had recently been held at Rotorua for exservicemen local body officers had proved very satisfactory, said the Minister of Rehabilitation, the Hon. C. F. Skinner, speaking at the monthly meeting of the Rehabilitation Board. Having visited the course and spent some time at it he had a .firsthand opportunity of assessing its value.

The Minister added that he had addressed the students on land values, and had stressed the importance of valuation in local body administration; he felt that this subject could be well included in the course to be held for South Island officers at Dunedin in August. Another extra subject which had been covered was forestry, lectures having been given by officers of the Forestry Department. The course had fortunately coincided with the annual conference of the New Zealand Institute of Foresters, which had made available films on forestry and other subjects.
