FEW RENEWED

MOTOR DRIVERS’ LICENSES ONLY 200 OUT OF 1000 Only about 200 motor drivers’ licenses had been renewed at the Whakatane Borough Council office up to yesterday. About 1000 drivers had licenses from the Borough Council last year. Although the Borough Council office was opened last Friday evening only a dozen drivers called to get licenses. This evening the office is open for the issue of licenses from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30. A better response from drivers is expected.
