PEDESTRIAN CROSSING

AT PRIMARY SCHOOL NOT GETTING RESPECT That the pedestrian crossing in front of the infant school was getting little respect from motorists was stressed at Monday’s meeting of the school committee. Several members mentioned narrow' escapes from injury they had witnessed. The question of signs was also brought up and it was decided to approach the local A.A. patrol with the view of having more erected. In regard to the crossing it was decided to notify the traffic inspector of the position. Disregard of the crossing and the consequent danger to young children had to be stopped was the committee’s opinion.
