CHORAL SOCIETY
PRACTICES UNDER WAY MEMBERS WANTED The Whakatane Choral Society has commenced its practices once more and these are receiving enthusiastic support from those of the musical world in the district. Mr A. Albiston, who is conducting the classes, was recently interviewed by a representative of the Beacon and stated that the society desired to obtain the active support of as many people as possible. The society recently presented the Easter Cantata and contemplates holding a concert in October. The final object is two concerts a year and with this in view an invitation is extended to everyone, town and country people alike, who is at all musical to attend their practice nights. These are held every Tuesday in the Methodist Hall.
