AIR FORCE MEN GET TOGETHER

THE latest organisation to be formed in the Whakatane district is a branch of the Air Force Association. Already there are in the district a number of ex-Air Force men who are members of the Auckland branch of this association. The objects of the association in this district are likely to be mainly of a social nature —to enable former airmen to get together in periodical reunions. It is said that about a hundred former Air Force personnel are in the Whakatane district. This indicates how well this district was represented in “the Baby of the Services” in addition to providing its full quota for the Army and Navy.
