PLUNKET SOCIETY

WHAKATANE JUNE MEETING ' The June meeting of the Whakatane local branch of the Plunket Society was held on Monday. Mrs Cairns presided. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Zinsli, Jessop, Dainton, and Debreceny.

Nurse’s reports for April and May were received, also a report covering the year’s* work. All figures show an increase on the previous years.

The new scales for weighing babies and pre-school children have come to hand. It is most important that pre-school children be kept under regular supervision and mothers are urged to give this matter their attention.

A donation of two guineas was received from the Whakatane County Council.
