mr McClellan honoured
RANGATAHI FUNCTION Residents turned out in good numbers recently to farewell Mr Mc'Clellan who has been teaching at the Rangatahi school for, six years. ’The farewell took the form of a grand dance. Mr H. Bird spoke and presented • the guest with greenstone tikis on behalf of the Maori people and Mr W. Wilson presented an -afternoon tea set on behalf of the* Pbkehas. In replying, Mr .McClellan stated that he was very sorry ifco leave the district and that he was going to Rataria Pa, near Wanganui. He prorpised ~to return the purpose of bperiihg; the school baths which he has worked so hard to obtain.
