Wheelbarrow Gained

A Wanganui resident had an unusual experience recently. He and his wife were in bed when an unusual sound was heard in the backyard. The hubsand got up to investigate. The lights were off at the time, but he noticed the garage door was open. He locked it, but could see nobody about, and went back to bed. Next morning the garage window was found broken, and inside the householder found a wheelbarrow partially filled with coal. After being locked the intruder apparently waited for some time in the garage, then broken the window and decamped, leaving the barrow as a “present” for the owner of the house.
