INTOXICATION CHARGE

FIRST OFFENDER IN COURT Pleading guilty to a charge of intoxication whilst in charge of a car, Alfred D. Baldock was fined £ls, and ordered to have his license cancelled for 12 months in the Whakatane Magistrates’ Court yesterday. Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., was on the bench. Sergeant Farrell said that as a result of an accident accused had been apprehended, when it was found that he was under the influence of liquor. He was a first offender and a highly respected member of the community.
