GALA DAY FUNDS
BENEFITING ST. JOHN’S As a result of the Gala Day in aid of St. John Ambulance funds which was held last Saturday approximate - ly £167 was raised. Details of theamounts raised by the various bodies are as follows: Football Club, £lO 13s 10d; .Hockey Club, £34 17s lOd; Bowling Club, £6 15s; Swimming Club, £l2 19s 7d; Hangi, £lB 9s 3d; Donations, £3 6s; Water Melons (donated by Mr ..S. Cannell, Te Teko) per Fire Brigade, £lO ss; Maori Entertainers, £6 Is 3d; Collections, £6 16s lid; Sheep and Pig Guessing, £3 8s 6d; Half Proceeds Water Melons (donated by Mr Norman Carter), £6 9s 6d; Refreshments (not complete), £27 16s 8d; Dance (less orchestra), £l9 16s 6d; a total of £157 15s 10d.
