FINAL ASSOCIATION MEETING SHIELD’S POINTS The last committee meeting for the year of the Whakatane Cricket Association was held on the premises of Mr J. D. Rivett. The points for the Collins, Clark and Aggregate Shields were finalised,- and the results are as follows: Collins Shield: Taneatua Ist, 70 points; Paroa and Waimana 2nd, 48; United 3rd, 36; P .and T. 4th, 28; Edgecumbe sth, 20. Clark Shield: Waimana Ist, 60 points; Paroa 2nd, 42; United 3rd, 40; Taneatna 4th, 34; P. and T. and Edgecumbe sth, 32. The Aggregate Shield was given for the team with the highest number .of points for the season. Waimana Ist, 108 points; Taneatua 2nd, 104; Paroa 3rd, 90; United 4th, 76; P. and T. sth, 60; Edgecumbe 6th, 52.
Also discussed was the possibility of holding a final wind-up Smoko in August. It was decided that the sec-' retary should write to each club asking their opinion of this matter. If sufficient response is forthcoming the committee will go ahead.
