REGENT THEATRE
JUDY GARLAND STARS IN 'THE HARVEY GIRLS'
Monday 7, Tuesday 8, Wednesday 9. Judy Garland follows her distinguished work in "Meet Me in St. Louis" and "The Clock" with a return to a song-and-dance role in M.G.M.'s new Technicolour production, "The Harvey Girls," now showing at the Regent Theatre. An exciting musical-western, with the early days of the now famous Harvey eating houses along the Santa Fe Railroad as its background, gives Miss Garland an outstanding supporting cast. John Hodiak, last seen opposite Lana Turner in "Marriage is a Private Affair," has the romantic lead, and other principals are Ray Bolger, the noted dancing comedian; Angela Lansbury, who scored in "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and "Gaslight;" Preston Foster, dead-pan Virginia O'Brien, tenor Kenny Baker, and laugh-getters Marjorie Main and Chill Wills.
