PERSONAL

Mr and Mrs C. P. Wylde, Waimana, have left for a holiday to be spent in Auckland and the South Island.

Appreciation of the work done by Mr E. L. Cullen for rehabilitation and congratulations on his appointment as Minister of Agriculture were contained in motions at the monthly meeting of the Rehabilitation Board and the quarterly meeting of the Rehabilitation Council. Speaking at the latter meeting the chairman, the Hon. C. F. Skinner, Minister of Rehabilitation, said that Mr Cullen had been a member of the Council since its inception. Both he and other council members referred to Mr Cullen’s special services in the field of land settlement. Mr Skinner added that it was the Government’s intention to fill the vacancy on the board caused by Mr Cullen’s attainment to Cabinet rank and consequent resignation from its membership.
