Hospital Milk Supply
Our attention has been drawn to the article in Friday’s issue relative to the milk bottle distribution at the hospital and headed ‘Unsatisfactory Supply.’ The actual quality of the milk supplied to the institution was never in doubt for a moment, neither was it criticised at the Board meeting. The point of discussion was the large number of bottles not returned and the apparent * wastage which was -taking place.
Winter Show Will Be Held
“I appeal to all businessmen of this community to look forward to and support the Winter Show, which will be held this year,” said Mr H. G. Warren, at the meeting of the Chamber of Commerce. “We could not get the necessary promise of extra power for the event but now we are going to generate the power ourselves. So the Show will be held, and after being in recess for so long it is up to everybody to support it.”

The fisherman was trying to catch herrings, and was using a small hook baited with a pipi. His efforts were watched by a large crowd from the north bank of the river, where a number of salmon were caught.

Both are young men, and are doing it for the experience, and adventure. They will leave with one riding horse each and a pack horse.
