SATURDAY TRADING

WAIOHOU STORE APPEAL

COURT GRANTS AUTHORITY Authority was granted a Hindu storekeeper Khangee Pan chia Dhangee, of Waiohou, to observe Wednesday as a half day holiday and to open for trading on Saturdays from 8 till 12 noon, by Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Whakatane Court last Tuesday. Mr Otley who-appeared for applicant, said that the application had been advertised and there were no objectors. The settlement was a very isolated one and the variation of the award could not possibly influence trading in any other district.
