FOUR MORE FOR TAURANGA FIGURES FOR VARIOUS TOWNS An interesting comparison of the number of State houses completed or under construction in South Auckland has been made by the district supervisor of the Housing Construction Department. In the 10 months to January 31, 141 houses were completed, of which four were built in Tauranga, and 198 were under construction. The figures for the various towns are as follows:
Under the land settlement, housing schemes for ex-servicemen, 39 dwellings were completed and 52 under construction. In addition, 62 milking sheds and 43 implement sheds were erected, 22 of the former and 12 of the latter being under construction.
