NEW POST OFFICE SITE MINISTER OF WORKS LETTER The following communication has been received by Mr W. Sullivan, M.P., from the Minister of Works (Hon. R. Semple) with regard to Whakatane’s new Post Office: With reference to your enquiry regarding the above project, I am advised that the sketch plans are now in the course of preparation, and on completion will be submitted to the Post and Telegraph Department for approval and consultation with the Commissioner of Works as to the relevant urgency along with the many other urgent works.

As soon as my Department is advised of the decision, the necessary working drawings and specifications will be prepared.
