Sporting Trophies Lost Four valuable sporting trophies were lost in the fire which destroyed the Argyle Hotel, Hunterville, recently. Two were Rugby football cups, one was for cricket, and the other was for bowling. The football cups destroyed were the Raymond Cup, an individual trophy which is at stake in any match played on the home ground by the holders, and the Bengal Cup, a junior championship trophy. Both these trophies contained some valuable information, and their loss will be severely felt. The cricket trophy was the North Rangitikei championship shield, and the bowling cup was one which had been donated solely for competition between Mangaweka and Hunterville.
