SCOUT STREET DAY

NEXT FRIDAY’S EFFORT By permission the local Scout Committee- will be conducting a street appeal campaign on Friday next. Stalls will be opened on the Strand and at Kopeopeo, and will be staffed by the local lady members. Funds are urgently needed for the purpose of equipping the troop, meeting Rally expenses and towards the Log Hut which it is proposed erecting in the near future with the assistance of Professor Corbin, of the Whakatane Paper Mills directorate. Donations to the stalls ' will be greatly appreciated. Saleable goods of any kind, fruit, preserves or produce will be most acceptable and should be left either with Mr C. Zinsli, Commissioner N. Matthews, or C. Kingsley-Smith.
