The following figures for the month of January were submitted to the Whakatane Hospital Board at its meeting last Thursday by the Medical Superintendent: In hospital at January 1, 92 (35 male, 57 female); admissions 153 (55 and 98); discharges 151 (44 and 107); deaths 5 (3 and 2); remaining in January 31, 89 (43 and 46); births 34 (17 and 17); operations, major 4, minor 67. Daily average occupied bed 92.58.
