PROSPECTS OF ANOTHER DROUGHT
WITH the approach of the fourth week of fine hot weather, concern is exercising the minds of pastoralists, at the prospect of a further dry spell which it is urgently to be hoped will not reach the drastic dimensions of last year s drought. All indications appear to bear out the prospect of continued fine weather, while the Maori prophets, who are usually uncannily correct in their forecasts declare that there "Will be no rain for a further three weeks.
