TOWN WATER SUPPLY
NEED FOR CONSERVATION RESERVOIR NEARLY EMPTY Attention of water consumers within the Borough is drawn to the advertisement appearing in this issue warning against the wastage of water. Owing to the power shortage and the dry weather the Borough reservoir is nearly empty at the present time and the pumps are engaged in making up as much leeway -as possible. Every endeavour is being made to regain the firefighting water pressure, but this can only be done with the whole-hearted co-operation of the householders, and the council looks to the public to aid it in carrying out the restrictions. Failure to comply with the regulations will not only help to emphasise the fire danger, but will likewise render the offender open to prosecution.
