SOCIAL AND DANCE

MATATA WOMEN S INSTITUTE

The social and dance held last Tuesday by the Matata Women’s Institute proved to be one of the most successful functions ever held in Matata. A large number attended and all present showed their appreciation of the items rendered by local artists.

The bring and buy stall packed with all manner of goods did very brisk business. Winners of the various competitions were as follows: — Lucky Monte Carlo, Miss J. Anderson and partner; Dinner, Mrs Pinker; Duck, Mr Fraser; Box of Homemade Sweets, Mr Rolfe Withy; Smokers set, D. Perenara.

The committee would like to thank all those who helped make the evening such a success especially Mrs War brick and pupils and Mr George Webber.
