Earthquake and War Funds
Funds held by the Earthquake and War Damage Commission at March 31 totalled £4,839,228. Income during the year from premiums and interest was £470,585 14s lid. This : .was disclosed in the annual report; of the Commission, tabled in the'. House of Representatives. Claims; paid were £507 3s Bd, salaries and' overtime, £2035 2s 7d, fees of mem-, bers' of the Commission, £304 12s 6d, expenses of management, £990 16s sd, and discount allowed insurance offices, £8732 11s 3d. A balance of £458,015 8s 6d was transferred to the fund.
