INDOOR BASKETBALL
AUSPICIOUS OPENING WEDNESDAY’S DRAW J The opening of the 1946 seagyß < of the Whakgtang Indoor Bas- j ketball Association on Wednesday last drew a big crowd of old , and new members, approximately sixty players participating, with many other prospective members being amongst the spectators. - Jf' With an assured membership of at least 80 active players, “the fastest game on foot” has been precipitated, to the position of one of the major ' sports in the district, and is to draw big crowds to the Winter Show Buildings when the competitions start tonight. Basic instruction was given last week by Miss Naim and Mr Jones, of Rotorua, the Physical Welfare - Officers for the Bay of Plenty.
