“A Big Bluff?”

“I don’t put seals on my honey and I’m not going to. This thing has been simply a big bluff,” declared one of the delegates to the National Beekeepers’ Association conference, when the honey seal levy fund was under discussion. “It’s contrary to legislation and will have to be- tested in the Courts,” continued the delegate, adding gloomily: “I suppose I will be the mug.”

National Savings Last week, out of the 335 National Savings “quota” areas in the Dominion,'2B3 obtained -their allotted quotas, a record number to date. In the .current financial year, in each of the 20 postal districts the investments were the highest recorded for any week during the last 12 months. At 66 places the full year’s allocation of investments has been subscribed. Of this number the North Island has contributed 20 country area successes while the South Island is represented by one city, one provincial and 44 country area successes, with three postal districts fully successful.
