The Waimana Church, which had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, was the scene of the wedding recently of Miss Patricia Mary McConnell, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McConnell, of Waimana, and Mr Thomas Malcolm Clar-k, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Clark, of Paerata Ridge, Opotiki. The Rev. Nummy officiated, and Mrs. A. Armstrong, of Otakiri was' the organist. f The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful frock of heavy white moire silk, designed with a fitted low-waisted bodice, long sleeves and full trained skirt, the sweetheart neck and train being edged with rouleaux. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place with a top-knot of white chrysanthemum and shasta daisies. She carried a bouquet of :the same flowers: The two bridesmaids, Miss Ruby Spanhake, of Auckland, and Miss Loris Clark, sister of the bridegroom, wore graceful frocks of dafr fodil crepe romaine, and small hats. of gold crinoline. They carried bouquets of autumn shaded flowers. The best man was Mr. Don Daw--, son ,of Opotiki, and the groomsman,. Mr. Leonce Connor, also of Opotiki. Master Barry Stevenson, and Mr.' Ramon Bell acted as ushers. While the register was being signed, Mrs Armstrong sang “Bless This House.”

As the couple left the church they were presented with lucky horse-shoes by little Jocelyn Fox, and little Rosemary McConnell. The reception was held in the Waimana Hall, where Mr. and Mrs. McConnell, assisted by Mr..and Mrs,J. T. Clark, received about 240. guests. Mrs. McConnell wore a smart navy ensemble, with acces- ; sories to tone, , and a shoulder spray of pink carnations and rosebuds.. Mrs. Clark looked smart in black with fox furs and a shoulder spray of red rosebuds and carnations. The : usual toasts were honoured and many telegrams of good wishes were read .by the best man.
