WHAKATANE LADIES’ CLUB 7 . '■ There will be no draw for this week so players who are not playing Allan trophy matches may choose their own partners. Saturday players who are unable to arrange their Allan trophy matches during this week end may play their match the following weekend. At a committee meeting held last week it was decided that if it is raining at Whakatane at 11.45 a.m. on any Wednesday that competitions will be postponed until the following Saturday morning. It was also decided that the scorer must now white up the players ringers directly on to the Ringer Sheet and not enter them on separate cards. The winner of the Appleby Cup was Miss Robins whose three cards were 71, ”80 and 86 with Mrs Otley 73, 84 and 88 as runner-up. The July Medal resulted: Miss Black 95—15 80 and Mrs Pearse 112—34 78.
