WHAKATANE MEN’S CLUB CLARKE AND REYNOLDS CUPS The Clarke and Reynolds Cup competitions reached the final stages on Saturday. Clarke Cup, Ist round: A. H. Morpeth beat R. E. Butler. 2nd round: R. J. Pattison beat L. W. Luxtoh. Reynolds Cup: W. Rangi beat D. S. Wilson; B. Alexander beat J. Corbett. ' The finals will be played next Saturday as follows: R. J. Pattison v winner of A. H. Morpeth and R. T. Morpeth; W. Rangi v B. Alexander. A concurrent Medal Handicap resulted in a win for R. E. Combes 85—14, 71. Other scores were: B. L. Butler 00—28, 72; A. G. Cradwick 83—9, 74. A Bogey Handicap will be played next Saturday, for which players may chose their own partners. Smith v Stewart. Winners of last Sunday’s games were A. P. Smith and K. Watson nett score 144. TE TEKO LADIES’ CLUB • This week and the fourth week of each month, “B” and “C” grades will play a medal competition for the President’s and Captain’s points prizes.
