SATURDAY’S GAMES REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS The following games will be played under the Whakatane Rugby Union on Saturday, June 29: Seniors Paroa v United at Domain, Mr A. Breward. Taneatua v Poroporo at Domain, Mr H. Mahy. Ruatoki v Waimana at Ruatoki, Mr F. Peebles. Juniors United v Waimana at Domain, Mr G. Oswald. Taneatua v Ruatoki. at Ruatoki, Mr Green. Paroa v Poroporo at Domain, Mr C. Ross. 3rd Grade The selectors have chosen the following team to represent Whakatane Third Grade against Opotiki at Opotiki next Saturday:— Fullback: H. Merito (Taneatua). Three-quarters: H. Coker (High School), B. Bell (High School), Seeker (Waimana). Five-eighths: J. Wano (Huimai), K. Carter (High School). Halfback: C. Goodwin (High School). Forwards: S. Cameron , (High School), Boynton (Waimana), L. Goodall (High School), T. Curham (Waimana), Stevenson (Waimana), Tumona (Ruatoki), W. Himione (Huimai), Pouwhare (Taneatua). Emergencies: Backs—Teepa (Ruatoki); forwards—Stewart (Taneatua). RANGITAIKI UNION Following are the results of matches played under the auspices of the Rangitaiki Rugby Union last Saturday:— Seniors Edgecumbe drew with Otakiri 3-3. Te Teko drew with Matata 9--0. Juniors Te Teko beat Awakeri 15-3. Thornton beat Otakiri 24-3. Saturday, June 29 The following Junior matches will be played under the above Union on Saturday, June 29: Te Teko v Thornton at Te Teko. Matata v Awakeri at Matata. Otakiri a bye. Rep. Team The Rangitaiki Senior Representative team to play Tauranga on Saturday, June 29, will be as under:— Fullback: Pope. Three-quarters: G. Burt, R.
