WEDDING BELLS
MORPETH—WOOLLIAMS St. John’s Catholic Church, Whakatane, was the scene of a pretty wedding i-ecently, when Veda Marjory, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs R.N. Woolliams, Whakatane, was married to Douglas Charles, youngest son of Mrs and the late Mr D. C. Morpeth, Whakatane.
The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a charming trained gown of ivory French embossed eloque. A topknot of tuber roses held her embroidered tulle veil and she carried a shower bouquet of carnations, tuber roses and nerines.
The bride was attended by her cousin, Mrs lan Kinloch, of Lichfield, who wore a graceful gown of aqua eloque. She carried a bouquet •f autumn flowers and wore a matching circlet in her hair. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Mac Stubbs as best man.
Miss D. Sykes was organist. The reception was held at the Whakatane Hotel where Mrs Woolliams, assisted by Mrs Morpeth, received the guests.
