New Zealand (Inc.) and Federated Farmers of New Zealand, Auckland Province (Inc.) “In the Bay of Plenty there would be Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc.) Bay of Plenty Province, and Federated Farmers of New Zealand • (Auckland Province). “Farmers would have .the option of joining either body so that the position, was exactly the same as it was before, except the Auckland Farmers’ Union had changed its name. “It was immediately apparent there would be confliction of interests under such an arrangement and until all the points at issue had been fully probed, it would be unwise to draw any further conclusions. It was pointed out that the Waikato Province of Federated Farmers was. in precisely the same position as the Bay of Plenty and that, no doubt, the position would be discussed jointly. “The president, secretary (Mr S. J i Parker) and Mr D. S.' Ross, of Te Puke, were appointed ,a committee to meet the executive of the Waikato Province of thef' federation to discuss implications prising from the statement issued to the press regarding the agreement reached.”
