When war and pestilence were rife,r Heroes with loyal hearts and trub,. ; Did the best that they could do, Gave themselves as offerings free, For. righteousness and liberty. The rddt cause -of our human ills, Is selfishness that hates and kills Kindly solicitude for others, Ignoring the fact men should be brothers, In a world-wide family, Whose father is the Deity, v Who in the time eventually, Will open blind men’s eyes to see. That worshipping the God of greed, Finally brings woeful need, The antidote for which is love, The gift of God from heaven above. H. SERGANT.
