BAY OF PLENTY ACTIVITIES PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE MEETS The eighth annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Provincial Executive was held on May 9, 1946, in the Awakeri Hall at 11 a.m. The President, Mrs Grey, opened the meeting with the reading of the Creed. ; Mrs Grey gave a warm welcome to delegates and members from the following branches: Taneatua, Murupara, Awakeri, Te Teko. An apology was received from Opotiki. After dealing with the immediate business of the day, the president read her report followed by that of the secretary and housekeeping secretary. The election of office bearers then took place, the following being elected members: Mrs Goodwin, president; Mrs S. Cannell, secretary; Mrs Hayward, housekeeping vice-presidents, Mesdames Grey and McGill; committee, Mesdames Hill, Haultain, Prince, Carr; advisory members, Mesdames Haultain and Barr. The Dominion President, Mrs Elliott, gave a most interesting talk on the many activities of the Women’s' Division. In closing, Mrs Elliott spoke of the need of members to stand firm for the Ideals of'the WJ# 5 men’s Division. r
