COUPON SAVING
CURRENT C.0.R.5.0. APPEAL WHAKATANE’S CONTRIBUTION In response to the current C.0.R.5.0. appeal for the saving of coupons for the purpose of granting further relief overseas, the local Postmaster (Mr Trask) reports that for the week ending May 18, contributions by way of coupons were: Sugar 61bs; tea Alb; butter 2Albs and meat £3 14s 9d. The total to date since the launching of the appeal is now: Sugar 91bs. Tea 2Albs. Butter 48Albs. Meat £4O 12s sd.
