JUST THOUGHTS

If we read the Bible at the 20th chapter of the Book of the Exodus we find there the Ten Commandments given by God Himself to Moses the great leader who led the Israelites, or the descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob, out of Egypt into Caanan or Palestine. On these, ten commandments, Mosaic law and British law also were founded.

When in due course, Jesus Christ came and proved Himself Son of God, He said, “He came not to condemn the law but to fulfil it.” He also said, “He came to free us from the law.” How ! Well this way partly explains. We may, if we wish, accept Jesus Christ and become believers in and followers of Him.

Paul the Apostle wrote a list of the works of the flesh which deserved condemnation, including adultery, fornication, etc. etc. which doings keep people outside God’s Kingdom. But that the fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. Against such there is no law. What a time we could have together if we trusted one another. To do so we must seek the fruit of the spirit and not yield to the evil desires of the flesh but the good ones only and thus become free from condemnation by the law, P.B.A.
