HEADS SETTLEMENT
WATER SUPPLY QUESTION
ESTIMATE OF COST
At the meeting of the Borough Council last week the Foreman-En-gineer submitted estimates of prices for extending the water supply to properties at the Whakatane River Heads 50 chains: 4" Spiral Welded steel main £928; 2" Galvanised main £570; 1" Galvanised main £268. The Clerk submitted figures relative to the annual charges lor varying terms which would require to be met by Heads ratepayers should a scheme proceed. It was. resolved that this matter be left in. the hands of. Cr Creeke and that he report to a later meetH ing of the Council or the committee .
