TE TEKO CALLING , ,\„

Hello Everybody! Here we are again round to the great event of the year—the Te Teko Gymkhana- As everyone knows, this is the greatest. event of the Avhole district and this year the committee is leaving no stone unturned to make it bigger and brighter both for competitors and spectators. A special feature at Te Teko has always been the chopping events. This year some of New Zealand's best axemen will be seen in action. Judging is to be done by automatic machine so that no wrong decisions can be given. Simultaneously athletic and horse events will be in the former to be run under the N.Z.A.A.A rules.

An additional attraction will be Emperor Ming f magician and ventriloquist whose continuous display of magic and" troupe of Hawaiian girls will attract all comers. Darts, hoopla raffles, stepping the tossing the and guessing competitions will keep everybody busy. Music by the Whakatanc Boys Band will enliven pioccedings. Maori hakas and action songs for adults and juveniles will be a feature as also will be foot and cycle races for boys and girls (entry free). A special playground for tiny tots has been erected. A Veterans Victory March Past has been arranged to take place at 2 p.m. Choice of refreshments will include tea roomS } ice cream and. soft drink stalls, and a hangi. Hot water will be available. What is it all ior? Te Teko made thousands of pounds for Patriotic purposes while the boys were doing the fighting and needed comforts. Let us complete cur job by raising a fund for the R S.A. to use in the future. Remember its Saturday next at Te Teko. Haerimai! Haerimai; Haerimai!
