FIRE AT WAIMANA

HOUSE DESTROYED The house belonging to Mr W. H. Spanhake, Waimana, was totally! destroyed and nothing was saved except for the contents of the wash-house, at about 9.30 o’clock on the night of December 22. The occupiers were at the pictures when the. blaze was noticed by neighbours and the building was quickly destroyed. Beside the loss of the contents of the house about £6O in cash was also lost. Mr and Mrs Henry Spanhake, who also lived in the house lost their belongings.
