POSITION OF PARKING STAND Reversing the recommendation of the Finance the . full meeting of the County Council last Tuesday decided that the application of Messrs Bruere and McDonald for a taxi stand in Taneatua ? should not be granted in the main street but that it should be situated on the side road in order to avoid congestion. Crs McGougan and Leslie were emphatic in their assertion that any other position would be dangerous j and were backed by the full council that only a side street stand should be granted.
